Leticia Nugent RD
Owner/Denturist
Leticia was born and raised in the West Kootenay area. After attending NAIT and graduating in 2013 she moved back to her home town of Rossland BC and started working at Robert Haack Denture Clinic as a third generation registered denturist. After a year of working Leticia was offered the chance to buy the business. In July of 2014 she purchased the business and changed it to Record Ridge Denture Clinic. Since becoming a denturist, Leticia has taken pride in growing her business and continuing her education to better serve the West Kootenay area in her two locations of Trail and Castlegar. When not at work Leticia enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter camping, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and tending to her hobby farm. She also is part of the Castlegar Rotary evening club, the Chamber Of Commerce in both Trail and Castlegar BC and is passionate about the revitalization of the downtown core of Castlegar BC.
Robert Haack RD
Retired Denturist/ Lab Technician
Robert was born in Rossland and grew up in Castlegar BC. After interning with his dad as a denturist he became a registered denturist in 1980. He has been working in the West Kootenay area for the last 36 years servicing denture patients with the utmost care. He has worked in clinics in Nelson, Castlegar and finished off his career in Trail BC. After taking a step back in 2014 and selling his business, Robert has been fulfilling his passion for making sure everyone has accessibility to top notch dental care. He works with the FAIR society and is contracted out by the TEETH clinic of Nelson, to help as many people in the West Kootenay area as possible to receive affordable dental care.
When Robert is not at work he enjoys spending all his time in the outdoors camping, hiking, taking photos and spending time with his family and granddaughter
Omar Maiward
Denturist (Intern)
Omar recently joined the team at Record Ridge as an intern Denturist in 2022. He graduated from CDI College and has a passion for denturism and believes in the knowledge that he has earned. When not in the clinic, he enjoys being outside golfing.
Amy Ponte
Administrator/Denturist Assistant
Originally from Edmonton, Amy has been in the West Kootenays since 2011 and has never looked back. She received her Dental Business Administration Certificate from Evolve Dental Academy in 2020 and has been with Record Ridge since then and has LOVED every minute of it. As the administrator and denturist assistant she keeps her day busy with booking appointments, handling insurance quotes and claims submissions along with conducting new patient consultations and denture adjustments. You will see her face in both our Trail and Castlegar offices. When Amy is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, stepdaughter, and their dog Nacho. Summertime she enjoys a nice hike and being outside in the sunshine and in the colder months she prefers to be on a beach! Any questions you may have, Amy will most likely be able to assist you.
Dina Bonacci
Administrator
Born and raised in Trail, Dina’s Italian roots have always kept her in the Kootenays.
Graduating as a Dental Assistant in 2014 from College of the Rockies, Dina has been in the dental field ever since. Dina began working as an administrative assistant at Record Ridge in 2020 and has loved every minute!
From booking appointments, to meeting new faces, Dina is happy to answer your questions and help make your experience at Record Ridge smoother.
Outside of the office, Dina enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, playing hockey, and cheering on the Trail Smoke Eaters!
Satoko Turner
Lab Technician
Satoko was born and raised in Japan and moved to Canada with her husband and kids in 2006. She has been a huge DIY enthusiast since she was little and enjoys woodworking, sewing, painting and many more. She loves to be creative and try new things. She has been a student for the past four years finishing her BSc in Biology and just started a career as a lab tech at Record Ridge Denture Clinic in 2022. During her day, she fabricates dentures, which she feels is her dream job. If your denture needs repair, she will most likely be the one hard at work in the lab doing just that, along with assisting the denturists to provide the best fitting dentures to our patients.
